Method
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease and line an 8-inch round cake pan.
- Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave until smooth.
- Whisk in the Greek yogurt until fully combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, whisking until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the center is set and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely before slicing. Serve as is or dust with cocoa powder or powdered sugar.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of salt or a dash of vanilla extract. Serve with berries or a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
- Optional Toppings: Fresh berries, whipped cream, powdered sugar, chocolate shavings, or a drizzle of melted chocolate or nut butter.
- Variations: Substitute dark chocolate with milk or semi-sweet chocolate for a milder flavor. Add a teaspoon of espresso powder for depth. Stir in chopped nuts or swirl in a spoonful of peanut butter before baking.
